Stuti means eulogy, singing praise, panegyric, and praising the virtues, deeds, and nature of God by realizing them in our hearts. The creator of this Surya stuti is Shri Goswami Tulsidas ji.
deen-dayaalu deva।
kar muni, manuj, surasur seva॥ १ ॥
O merciful Sun God! Sages, humans, gods, and demons all serve you.
him-tam-kari keharee karamaalee।
dahan dosh-dukh-durit-rujaalee॥ २ ॥
You are Vanraj Singh who kills frost and darkness. You wear the garland of rays. You burn away faults, sorrows, misconduct, and diseases.
kok-kokand-lok-prakaasee।
tej-prataap-roop-ras-raasee॥ ३ ॥
He is the one who pleases the separated poets of the night, who feeds the lotus and illuminates all the worlds. You are Tej, Pratap, Roop and Raski Khani.
saarathi-pangu, diby rath-yogee।
hari-sankar-bidhi-moorati svaamee॥ ४ ॥
You move on the divine chariot, your charioteer (Arun) is Lula (without an arm). O, Lord! You are the form of Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma.
ved pooraan pragat jas jaagai।
tulasi ram-bhagati bar maangai॥ ५ ॥
Your fame is shining in the Vedas and Puranas. Tulsidas asks you for the boon of devotion to Shri Ram.
