Sankatanaashak Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat Katha
Ganesh Ji

Why we should do this Vrat?

Sankatnashak Ganesh Chaturthi's Vrat is observed on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of every month. Whenever you feel a lot of tension around you and feel like nothing good is happening. You can start this fast. This fast will bring happiness, wealth, and peace to your life. But for that, you have to be positive. You have to believe in this fast. If you believe in yourself and God then these fasts will do magic for you. With faith, you can do anything in life. We can do the shanti path in the morning.

Details:

There are 14 vrat stories of Ganesh Chaturthi. Out of 14, 12 studies fasting on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of every month. And to complete the fast, we offer water to the moon. Whereas the one, which falls on Chaturthi of Shulka Paksha in Bhadra month, we usually only do Katha and not fast. If one wishes to observe a fast on this day, they are not allowed to offer water to the moon as it is a curse to see the moon on that day. While 14th is of Adhimas (which comes once every three years.)

What are Krishna and Shukla paksha?

The month is divided into two Pakshas according to the more or less phases of the Moon.

1.      Krishna paksha.

2.      Shukla paksha

The time interval between Poornima (full moon) to Amavasya (new moon) is Krishna paksha. Krishna paksha starts from the next day of Poornima (full moon) and ends on Amavasya (new moon). The total length of Krishna paksha is 15 days.

The time interval between Amavasya (new moon) to Poornima (full moon) is Shukla paksha. Shukla paksha starts from the next day of Amavasya (new moon) and ends on Poornima (full moon). The total length of Shulka paksha is 15 days.
